Ankawini Safari Ranch is a private game ranch and event venue roughly 90 km southeast of Windhoek, Namibia. The ranch is 7,000 hectares of mountains, rivers, rolling hills, plains, and an abundant array of wildlife.
Ankawini is home to leopards, jackals, wildcats, more than 30 species of antelope, and more than 50 species of bird, not to mention all the reptiles, amphibians, and insects. Come lose yourself in the marked and mapped labyrinth of roads that cover an impressive 200 km. Not the game drive type? No worries! Ankawini also offers paths for hiking and mountain biking (person bicycles required). No matter what you choose, you're sure to see beautiful landscapes and plenty of wildlife along the way.
Named after the Eragrostis Porosa grass that is found around the site, the Camp site with three ablutions blocks, each consisting out of a shower, toilet and dish washing basin under Camel thorn trees on the side of a mostly dry river bed. Our guests bring their own tents. From the Camp site you may self drive your own game viewing excursions or book an official game drive. The ablution blocks are about 200 meters apart and the Camp site is 3 km from the Main Lodge and pool.
